Fantasy Cricket 2005 | The Tension is just beginning......
Well it's here, back for another year of high drama and adventure on the High Ridings Seas. With a major new addition to the comp, Fantasy Cricket 2005 could be more open than ever.
Picture it, you're mid-table with 2 weeks to go, there's no way you could win from here, surely. However, this year it will be slightly harder for anyone to feel safe - with the introduction of the Fantasy Cricket Captain.
The new addition of a Captain into this year's mix brings a whole host of possibilities. We all know that in cricket, the captaincy job comes with a whole plateful of other responsibilities. So even though you may not be aware of the work which the captain of your Fantasy Cricket team will undertake, we guarantee that they'll be whipping your players into shape. Honestly.
And for all that hard work we give them a reward, a reward which will mean that every week your captain will score double points! You can't say fairer than that.
So with six wickets comes a massive 36 pts, or a ton will bring in a whopping 32 pts. But obviously we cannot forget the disastrous DUCK which will count a double of -4pts (well he shouldn't have put himself up the order) or your Captain getting -4pts for going in excess of 5.5 runs per over in a mad spell of self induced bowling.
Who Should be My Captain?
Oh yeah I almost forgot. We felt that the rest of the club deserved an opportunity to captain the league sides this year and this will give the real world captains a bit of a rest, so Jon Toghill, Mike Pearson, Rich Deane and Andy Shield are excluded from the captaincy of any Fantasy Cricket Team. Ah we are kind aren't we.

TIP: If you think your captain will be chosen as captain by a lot of other managers, it might be worthwhile choosing someone more original who will really deliver the goods when they score big!
