Youth Pre-Season Training Dates Announced

Ok then, the season is approaching but there's still plenty of time for the youth players at Sodbury to gain a lot from Sodbury's new and established qualified coaches. So if you came to Sodbury training during summer 2004 then please get the word around that we'll be starting training soon.
Feel free to tell others (friends/family) who might be interested about the training dates below. If anyone needs more information on pre-season training or about anything else then ring Youth Secretary Mark Reynolds on 01454 314147. We always welcome new members.
We'll go through the teams in order, so here we go:
Under 9s
Firstly the new U9 team. The Under 9s will have their first taste of cricket practice in 2005 when it hopefully gets a bit warmer! So that will be in late April as we move to outdoor training up at Chipping Sodbury Cricket Club (or The Ridings which the sports area is sometimes known as.) They will be contacted nearer the time.
Under 11s
Coaches: Neil Philpott, Steve Poole and Andy Shield
The Under 11s this year will be coached by parents Neil Philpott and Steve Poole who have both recently qualified as ECB coaches. New qualified coach and CSCC Chairman Andy Shield will also be helping out. The team will train at King Edmund Community School Sports Hall for 6 weeks prior to the season. The first session will be on Sunday 20th March and the last on Sunday 24th April, the time: 5-6pm.
Under 13s and Under 15s
Coaches: Mark Reynolds, Derek Clark, Mark Graham, Rich Bennett
As happened last year, both squad's training will take place in Yate Leisure Centre's main sports hall on Saturday mornings. In order to have a higher chance of finding a free slot Mark Reynolds booked the sports centre way back in July 2004. Unfortunately it wasn't until very recently that it was discovered that the sports centre has cancelled a number of our sessions due to some 'big events' which take place there from time to time. Big events which seemingly aren't that big that they require booking that far in advance! So below are the dates for all U13s and U15s to remember and attend.

Under 17s
Coaches: Rich Kingscott and Alex Tebbitt
In the past years we have found that due to numbers it's not always been practical to have indoor pre-season training for the Under 17s. This has been the case for quite a number of years and isn't a new thing. It's because of this and the lack of space at pre-season senior training that the manager is consulted and certain U17 players are invited to attend senior nets.
Please don't be concerned if this isn't you because there'll be plenty of training and cricket coming your way at the end of April.
