Youth Cricket Training Dates
Under 13 Batting (1997)
Ok all you youth players out there, we have the dates!! Get your kit out and get ready because we're coming to a school near you!!
As with last year all age groups will be coached by Chipping Sodbury Cricket Club's very own ECB Qualified Coaches. By the way if you have any questions then please speak to Youth Secretary Mark Reynolds on 01454 314147.
Under 9s
Our Under 9 section caters for children aged 6-9. The Under 9s do not start their cricket until the end of April, when all training for Chipping Sodbury Cricket Club moves outdoors.
So Under 9s it might be difficult to hold in that excitement, but the old favourites of garden cricket or putting some sticks in front of the garage door always seem to do the trick while you're waiting!! Summer will be here soon, so don't worry!!
Under 11s
Under 11 training will again take place at King Edmund School Sports Hall. The first session will take place on Sunday 12th March from 4pm and will carry on for 7 weeks until Sunday 23rd April. These dates include Easter Sunday (one of the most popular dates in the Under 11's calender after last year's fun!!).
Under 13s and Under 15s
Indoor training will take place as usual on Saturdays in the main hall at Yate Leisure Centre. The first session will be Saturday 25th February from 10-11am. Make sure you're there!
As usual we have not been able to book continous use of the facilities at Yate Leisure Centre and so subsequent dates will be:
Sat. 11th March
Sat. 18th March
Sat. 25th March
Sat. 1st April
Sat. 8th April
and then the week after the Easter weekend which will be Sat. 22th April.
Under 17s
As has been the case for many years, certain Under 17 players may be invited to attend senior pre-season training.
Unfortunately for many years squad numbers and player availability haven't allowed us to provide a dedicated Under 17s pre-season training night.
However at the end of April Under 17 training does start up at Chipping Sodbury Cricket Club.
Right then that's it, CSCC has spoken! Now all you have to do is turn up!! This will be the start of a great season for you...trust me!
