Chipping Sodbury 4th XI v Congresbury 3rd XI
Chipping Sodbury's 4th string missed on a second consecutive promotion by the narrowest of margins despite claiming maximum points from their final game.
Congresbury batted first and could not cope the nagging accuracy of Ross Granger who took 7 for 30 to leave Sodbury chasing 112 to win. This proved no problem for a strong Sodbury batting line up and Rob Fowler cracked 57 to guide Sodbury home with four wickets to spare but left them agonisingly half a point away from promotion.
It was still a pleasing year with the 4th XI finishing 3rd in their new division.
