Details For County Cup Final Released, Inc. Squad And Opposition!

3 important bits of information have surfaced this evening about Chipping Sodbury's final at the County Ground this Saturday.
Who are we playing?
Firstly we are playing Frocester Cricket Club who beat Gloucester City Winget in the County Cup Semi-Final at the weekend. Chipping Sodbury will be in for a very tough fight taking on the likes of Nick Trainor, Mark Hardinges and Ben Gannon, all former Gloucestershire players, though none of those played in the semi-final so they may not play.
However not so long ago, Frocester CC was home to Chipping Sodbury captain Jay Rendell, and I'm sure Jay will be keen to show many of his friends at Frocester Cricket Club just how determined and talented this bunch of Sodbury cricketers are.
Frocester Cricket Club finished 4th in Premier One of the West of England Premier Cricket League, that's three leagues above Chipping Sodbury who finished in 2nd place in the Bristol & North Somerset division.
Who is playing for Chipping Sodbury?
The team is yet to be announced, but the squad for the final is as follows: Hicks, Scully, Bennett, Wake, Mills, Webb, Crabtree, Rendell*, Willoughby, Walters, Penfold, Wakefield. Well done to everyone who's been picked and to everyone who helped us get to the final. Good luck to Team Sodbury!
Playing on Same Pitch as KP!
This week Gloucestershire have been playing Surrey at the county ground which will be the same strip as the boys will be playing on Saturday! At the moment Kevin Pietersen is playing on it. Well not right now as it's dark, but you get the drift.

Afterwards, from 7pm, our party starts as we celebrate our 150th season.Youth presentations and senior presentations will be taking place as well as Disco and BBQ for the whole club! All in the Grand Marquee at CSCC!
