Fantasy Cricket | Clapp stays top
Competition for the top three spots in this year's Fantasy Cricket is really hotting up now with just six weekends of league cricket left to play. Stephen James Clapp has managed to hold onto top spot after this weekend's games with Rob Scott and club Chairman, Andy Shield now level in second place.
Joan Deane's Biddy's Boys have recently made their return to the Fantasy Cricket top ten now lying in 4th place, twenty points off the pace. Dave Collinge has continued his mesmeric mid-season surge to glory which started last week. His "No Hopers" are now fifth having been 26th at the start of the month, making DC the current favourite to walk away with the July Fantasy Cricket Manager of the Month Award.
But things are a changing...
There have been some other interesting developments over recent weeks which are sure to have a say in who walks away with this year's Fantasy Cricket title. Rob Scott has played his last league game this year as he returns to the football field for the winter. Over half of the team managers in the competition were relying on him to bring in some serious points this year and he didn't disappoint, but that source will now dry up.
Also rumours are abound that Steve Doidge has played his last league game this season. This is as yet unconfirmed, but if true will be a major blow to half of the team managers. The remainder, who mostly put their trust in Paul Crabtree to deliver the goods from behind the stumps will be eagerly waiting to see how much of an effect this'll actually have.
