Dear All,
A big THANKYOU to all of you who donated part or all of last weekend (8th/9th April 2006) to help make CRICKETFORCE 2006 at The Ridings a huge success.
Having sanded, painted, cleaned, plastered, weeded, hammered, drilled and screwed, (begging your pardon!) you can all be very proud of the part you all played. Personally, I`m chuffed to bits with the turn-out last weekend.
I believe that approximiately 40 to 50 members, parents and youth team players volunteered in one form or another over the course of the two days, some lending their whole weekends to the cause. So much so, we ran out of free t-shirts!!
Compare this to the last 10 years at this stage of the season, and the difference is massive. What would normally have been a real slog for a hard core 10 or so members and the committee, became "an almost perversely enjoyable experience" (Thanks to Mr C Scully for that one!).
The ground and pavilion are looking truly immaculate now, and it`s all down to those of you who wanted to lend a hand!!! Here`s to CRICKETFORCE 2007!!
