Article Date: 3rd June 2008
CSCC 1st XI pulled off an important win on Saturday as they beat long term rivals Almondsbury.
In another low scoring affair CSCC bowled out Almondsbury for 107 and then passed the total for the loss of 4 wickets. The score card will hopefully be updated on our Play-Cricket website in the next couple of days.
The 2nds strolled to another win by bowling Almondsbury 2nds out for 101 and passing the total without losing a wicket in the 23rd over. The main contributor to the Sodbury innings was another fine knock by Harry Webb who finished in the 70s after his maiden league ton the previous week.
Meanwhile the 3rds narrowly lost to Thornbury 3rds. Thornbury 157 for 6, CSCC 154 all out.
CSCC 4ths beat Bitton 3rds by runs. Sodbury batted first with Will Christofi and Steve Doidge opening. Doidge powered his way to another ton with CSCC ending on 250 for 7. Bitton finished a long way short on 116 all out.
