CSCC Discusses New League Structure For 1sts And 2nds

Cricket in the West of England
On Thursday 6 CSCC members, Tony Garton, Jamie Rendall, Clive Reynolds, Craig Scully, Andy Shield and Tony Wake attended a club meeting which was open to all CSCC members.
The meeting was held to discuss and decide upon the best future plans for CSCC in the WEPL cricket league, following contact from WEPL regarding a possible league restructuring.
The WEPL committee had sent 3 options to be discussed. The CSCC group soon supported Option 3 which:
- retains the current structure for the 1st XIs, but in addition:
- has the 2nd XIs in a structure of their own with promotion and relegation. Of course, if a 1st XI is relegated from the WEPL structure, the 2nd XI must follow.
Official Request to Move Leagues
In addition the group restated the wish of the club to move to the Gloucestershire/Wiltshire section to avoid excessive travelling especially if we were to gain promotion from our current league.
