This Saturday Chipping Sodbury 2nd XI will be finishing off a season, which although disappointing compared to past seasons, could see them finish in the top 3.

In a season which seems surprisingly short (which when considering the amount of rain we've had maybe isn't a surprise!) CSCC 2nd XI will be hoping to put in a good performance against 8th placed Long Ashton.

Long Ashton has usually been a difficult place to go for Sodbury 2nds and there have been many hard fought contests over recent years. The 2nds will be hoping on Saturday that they bring a victory back to Sodbury, which in the end may amazingly result in a promotion for Soper's team!!!

NB. The 2nd XI will be promoted if CSCC 1st XI pick up 5 points during the next 2 weeks.

3rd XI

The 3rd's last game sees them away to Stapleton 3rd XI and they will be looking to beat their league table neighbours and climb to end the season in a more central position.

Although the season has been much more testing than those previously, the standard of cricket seems to be exactly what CSCC has been looking for. At the moment the team has found its level and will now look to stabilise and then progress in coming seasons.

In the bigger picture it's been a good season for the 3rds being in only the league below the 2nd XI.

4th XI

The fourth XI are home to Portishead 3rd XI on Saturday and will be looking to finish the season in the top 3 which will be a magnificent achievement in the top division of the Bristol & District A XI league.

Good luck to everyone as they aim to make their final impressions on a sunny and hot Saturday at the end of a wet, cold, sunless season. Enjoy everyone!
