Unders 15s Beat Almondsbury Cricket Club In Closely Fought Game

Chipping Sodbury U15 recorded their 2nd league win in a closely fought game last night with Almondsbury.
Almondsbury won the toss and decided to bat first.Dan Brown struck in the 1st over and 2nd over and after 4 overs Almondsbury were 3 down for 16.
Almondsbury staged a fight back and lost their 4th wicket with the score on 53 in the 16th over.With a late florish of runs Almondsbury finished on 82 for 6.The pick of the Sodbury bowlers was Dan Brown with figures of 4-2-9-4.
When Sodbury came to bat they were soon in trouble and were 14-3 after 4 overs.With Adam Febry batting majestically there was still hope for Sodbury.
Sodbury lost another 2 wickets to find themselves on 44 for 5 when Adam Febry & Nic Hambly put on 32 runs before Nic Hambly depated on 17 & the score on 76.
A further 2 wickets fell without any addition to the score before Dan Brown and Ali Scott saw the team home.Adam Febry top scored with 32.
For Almondsbury Sam Robertson 4-0-15-3 and Matt Smith 3-0-9-3 were the pick of the bowlers.
