What a fantasy build up
Chipping Sodbury Cricket Club has never seen or heard anything like it. For the past few weeks there has been nothing but fantasy cricket chit chat up at The Ridings and down in the Sodbury pubs. "ere who av you gone faw?" - "ere av you eard DC's not playing Saturday, eees got jet laaaag!" - "ere that them there Penfold, is ee gonnas be round much this side of Zeptember?"
How many fantasy teams?
Well, as this website's Fantasy Cricket Deadline Countdown clock neared zero hour, things had quietened down. The majority of the CSCC Fantasy Managers had submitted their team/s and it was left to Fantasy Cricket Chairman David Reynolds to process them and produce the all important figures.
As with last year's inaugural Fantasy Cricket competition, over 70 teams have been entered this year which means another £200 has been raised for the club. Thanks to everyone who put the effort into getting their selections in on time.
All of these managers will now be striving for that Fantasy Cricket title."Move over Cav Smythe!"
So you can read more info on the main Fantasy Cricket page, but make sure you come back as we update the website with each week's CSCC Fantasy Cricket 2004 news! The first game is this Saturday (if it doesn't rain), when all four teams should be in action, but it is a bit wet so who knows!
