An Excellent Day At NatWest OSCAs For Andy And Clive
Article Date: 23rd October 2008
Last week Andy Shield and Clive Reynolds went to Lords for the 2008 NatWest OSCAs - the Outstanding Service to Cricket Awards - and what a day it was! The awards recognise the amazing efforts that cricket volunteers across the country give to their clubs and counties.
Clive said: "It meant a great deal being there although we were not up for an award. It certainly lived up to the expectations."
CSCC were originally nominated in the NatWest CricketForce category for the club's efforts during the CricketForce weekend in April where club volunteers get together to transform the club for the season ahead.
So far 4 members at CSCC have had the opportunity to attend this day at Lords, Andy, Clive, Mark Reynolds and Jeff Long. For any CSCC members who get a chance to attend the OSCAs in the future then it is a must-do trip.
"The day is really well organised, excellent food and drink, at an excellent venue with excellent speakers. Excellent!" said Clive.
