How Does The End Of The Season Stack Up For The 1sts, 2nds & 3rds?
Article Date: 19th August 2011
With the 1sts, 2nds and 3rds all losing last week, has it changed the picture for those teams who were all in the top 2 of their respective leagues.
The 1st XI
The 1sts are still second but a large gap has now opened up between them and leaders Frenchay, all Sodbury can do now is to get as many points as possible in the last 3 matches and hope Frenchay come monumentally unstuck!
The 2nd XI
The 2nd disappointingly lost last week and the timing couldn't have been worse. Leaders Winterbourne also lost which means that the gap between them and us is now only 0.02 of an average point.
So not only will both teams be looking to win, but they'll also be looking to get as many points as possible. It's going to be a tight 3 games and Sodbury must win all of them.
The 3rd XI
Currently the 3rd XI are still top of the table with 2 games to play. They can be caught by Pak Bristolians who are second, however the fate is very much in the 3rd's own hands, if they win both remaining games the title is theirs. 2 remaining games are Home to Portishead and away to Almondsbury.
In Sodbury's favour Pak Bristolians have Chew Magna away last game of the season which could prove to be a tricky one for them.
However after last week's heavy defeat the 3s need to make sure they bounce back well.
