Calling All Young Cricketers! 2008 Summer Cricket School At CSCC!

You may already know that at the Ridings this year there's a cricket summer school taking place from the 28th to 31st July!

Course aim
Whether you are serious about cricket or an absolute beginner, this course is suitable for all young players aged 11-15 years. We will teach the basics of the game for the first timers whilst the more experienced players will build on existing skills, developing ability and techniques. The course will focus on the core skills of batting, bowling and fielding as well as game play. Players will be divided into small teams and will develop an understanding of team work. The course will include differentiated games.
Drop off/pick up points and important contact details
Each day will begin at 9a.m, at Chipping Sodbury Cricket Club main pavilion, at the Ridings, St Johns Way, Chipping Sodbury. An adult MUST register their child/children daily with an SCSE coach, whom will be situated in the Pavilion. The SCSE staff will be there from 8.45am.

The course finishes daily at 3.30pm. The latest pick up time is 3.45pm. Please make us aware of any difficulties.
Lunch
Please provide your child’s pack lunch for the day, there will be refreshments provided free of charge. Lunch will be based in the main Pavilion.
Kit required
• Indoor and outdoor footwear
• Tracksuit and /or other clothing to assist in sporting activity
• Your own bats, pads, etc if you have them
• We advise you to bring your own equipment, however there will be some helmets and abdominal guards available to use
Payment
The cost is £85 for four days and each child must be paid for prior to the start of the course, to ensure a spot is allocated. Cheques are to be made payable to the Sodbury Pavilion and sent along with the registration form to SCSE Summer School, Sodbury Pavilion, 27 High Street, Chipping Sodbury, Bristol, BS37 6BA. Please ensure a form is complete for each child attending.
We run on a first come first serve basis so do not delay in getting your forms in! Groups of 7 or more are entitled to a 10% discount – ask for details.
