Bushy takes the month's Fantasy Cricket Title
With the last of the league games for the first month of the season just completed, none other than Steve Bush has sneaked into top spot of the Fantasy Cricket leaderboard and with it has walked away with the Fantasy Cricket Manager of the Month Award for May.
Steve's "No Chance" team had been hanging around in the top ten ever since the second league weekend of the season but Bushy has Mark Graham and Paul Crabtree to thank for finally pushing him into top spot. Mark cemented his all-rounder status in the competition with a 5-wicket haul and a useful 33 on Saturday whilst Crabbers returned his first big score of the season, a fine 110.
Last week's leader John Rendell, with his "Village Idiots", has fallen into second place whilst Anne Maddock's "Curry Mallet 3rd XI" have surged into 3rd spot from being 18th last week. Also worthy of particular mention is the Deane household who suddenly seem to be monopolising the leaderboard top ten.
Leading the bunch is Joan Deane in 4th place closely followed by Rich Bennett, Louise Deane and Rich Deane in 5th, 6th and joint 7th places respectively. It's now pretty obvious what the main topic of conversation was at the Deanes' breakfast table back in April!
