CSCC Struggling. Loads Of Work On Ground, But No One's Helping.
Article Date: 21st March 2009
Lots of work. Here's your chance to help! NatWest CricketForce!
We've been really struggling for volunteers over recent weekends (well all of 2009!), so we really need your help now, whether you're a player or youth parent. These are desperate times. Your chance to help your club is coming up on the weekend of 4th/5th April. This is NatWest CricketForce weekend and it when's members of clubs across the UK come together and get their cricket club ready for the season ahead! Take a look at the ECB website CricketForce for more info.
What are the tasks? What can I do?
From 9am on Saturday 4th April to around 1pm on Sunday 5th April there'll be plenty to do based on this task list. We've got a new pavilion to get ready! So just turn up in some work clobber and someone will be there to welcome you. There will be plenty of coffee there to keep you going, so please come on up!!
Subs going up?
Hopefully there are many really helpful people in the club that just don't realise the help we need, but if help doesn't come forward then subs may need to go up to fund any outside help that we need to bring in to compensate for lack of volunteers. We don't want to do this though!
Youth subs to be paid on this weekend
All youth subs must be paid during this weekend, so we'll be waiting for all youth parents. When you do come up please don't be afraid to volunteer to help out!
It's not just 4th/5th April!
Work continues on weekends leading up to 4th/5th April as well as after. So your help would be appreciated at other times too, but we'd love to see you at CricketForce!!
