CSCC Thanks You For Your Work During NatWest Criketforce Weekend
Article Date: 31st March 2010
Thanks to everyone who turned up last weekend to help get the cricket club ready for our 150th cricket season.
A Successful NatWest CricketForce Weekend
It was NatWest CricketForce weekend, where members and supporters of cricket clubs across England and Wales volunteer their time to help their club get ready for the season ahead.
Good to see Many Youth Parents
It was great to see many youth parents helping out, as well as some youth and senior players. A huge thanks to all who turned up and those that have been working on previous weekends and through the winter on jobs.
What changes are there at CSCC?
Newly Painted Exterior Wall
Next time you go up to the club you'll notice quite a few changes. The first one that will strike you will be the newly painted exterior of the club (only one wall for now), it really is a huge improvement!
New Umpire Changing
Then because there isn't changing space in the pavilion, there's a new shed tucked around the corner which will be the changing facility for official umpires.
Lounge Area and Kitchen get Lick of Paint
The kitchen received a link of paint from Sue and Tom Febry. Also a team of volunteers such as Andy Brown, Marian Davis, Lisa Graham and Tom Febry have been painting the interior of the pavilion after the temporary removal of the photo frames and permanent removal of the wall gas heaters by Tony Garton.
And there are also new wall lights which will replace the originals put up 30 years ago, thanks for putting them up Tony Garton.
It's looking much better for our 150th year.
