Nominate Your South Gloucestershire Sporting Champion

We are fast approaching the deadline for the South Gloucestershire Sports Awards nominations Monday 1st November. The awards recognise the achievement, dedication and contribution of people across sports in South Gloucestershire.
There are so many sporting champions in South Gloucestershire that go unrecognised whether it is through playing, coaching, teaching or supporting the administration of a club. Each one deserving to be nominated and recognised for their achievements by you as a nominee, and for us as a Council as we would like an opportunity to thank them for all they have achieved.
Nominations can be for anyone who is involved in sport and physical activity in the authority, anyone who grew up in this area and those who grew up and moved away, anyone who is working or studying in South Gloucestershire.

Nominations are invited in the top 12 categories:
- Sportsman of the Year
- Sportswoman of the Year
- Young Disability Sportsperson of the Year
- Young Sportsman of the Year
- Young Sportswoman of the Year
- Sports Coach Award
- The Sports Link Award (awarded to an ‘Accredited’ sports club which has done the most to promote club/school links. Proposals must be independent of club)
- School Sport Award (separate primary and secondary school category, awarded to the school which has done most to promote school sport and physical activity to young people. Proposals must be independent of the school)
- School Sport Award Individual (separate primary and secondary school category, a member of staff, adult supporting learning or volunteers. Proposals must be independent of school)
- Team Award (separate awards for teams who have excelled categories: U11’s, U16’s and adults)
- Personal Achievement Award sponsored by the Active Partnership
- Airbus Community Sport Award (an outstanding contribution to a lifetime of sport)
