It's when people are no longer with us that we realise how much they did for us. Jim's passing has left us with big boots to fill during this winter and next summer. May God bless you Jim. Thanks for many happy memories and for all of your hard work over the years. We'll miss you.
Mark Reynolds
It's a very sad day, I'll certainly miss him and his old stories of Chipping Sodbury and the cricket club over the years. You just can't under estimate what he's done for the cricket club and the local community, what a great guy he was. What a man, what a CSCC legend. Don't let this moment pass without realising the huge amount of time he gave up for us all at CSCC. He deserves a huge CSCC turn out at his funeral.
Paul Reynolds
Sad news. One of the last links with that pre-war generation of Sodbury cricketers. Jim started the whole youth set up as well, with that side with Basher Bleaken, Tim Seymour, Mark Quinlan, Martin Gerrard and the rest. RIP Jim
Mark Graham
Sad news, but Jim's tales of Times Past will live on in all of us who met him.

Such a shame, but many memories, on a tractor, with a paintbrush in his hand, comittee meetings, the pipe, his stories of the the old days, turning up in his milk float. He will be missed.

I've known Jim since I joined the club at 11 years old playing for the U17s 'cos that was the only team we had. We never had the luxury of the qualified coaches that are now so necessary, Jim gave up his time and genuinely took pleasure in being there with us and doing all the organising that was needed. We couldn't have continued without you Jim, lots of happy memories in youth team cricket and you ferrying us around. If everybody else in the club could give 1% of what you gave we could have built the club 10 times over.
Richard Wood
RIP Jim he was one of the sodbury legends, will miss some great stories about the war.
Diane & Tony Garton
