Required Work On Ground And Buildings Announced

At a recent meeting of the Grounds & Buildings committee attended by Clive Reynolds, Steve Febry, Rich Wood and Rich Kingscott, a number of tasks were identified that need to be completed between now and the season. Take a look and see which ones you can help with, like weeding hedge or whatever!

Grounds
Machines
- Chipping Sodbury Golf Club to sharpen mowers shortly
- Antony to service the tractor and roller shortly
Rolling
- Start toward end of March
- Looking at hiring a lighter roller from Farmtrac
Hedges
- New hedges need weeding and carpet laid to prevent weed growth. Anyone can do this, volunteers needed urgently.
- Looking at hiring a lighter roller from Farmtrac
Wooden fence
- Jay Penfold to fix this
Netting ball stops
- Steve to enquire about steel poles. Possibly use 3/4/5 April to do this (NatWest CricketForce weekend)
Tree on far side of ground
- Looks like Ian Townsend has now done this. Thanks a lot to Ian! Some work to de done to repair ground
Puddle/pond at bottom of ground
- Clive to contact the Town’s Trust about getting rid of it
Squares
- Squares need fertilising and more seed sown. Steve and Rich K to meet
Buildings
Current Pavilion - Kitchen
- Tiling has been completed
- Plastering to be sorted by Tony Wake
- Doors – Jay and Andy Neale
- Cleaning on NatWest CricketForce weekend
New Pavilion
- Water and electricity pipes and ducts currently being rerouted
- Elecricity – ready for sockets, lights and switches to be fitted
- Wall boards and insulation to be fitted
- Showers – awaiting another quote
- Fitting to be finalised
- Toilet items to be ordered
- Floor covering to be sorted by youth parent
Garage & Covers
- Both doors on main garage need repairing
