Senior Training Moves to Thursday
As we start the last 6 weeks of the 2004 league cricket season, all senior members should take note and pass the message around that training has moved from Wednesday evenings at 6.15pm to Thursdays at 6.15pm.
A Critical Run-in
All teams face a crucial 6 weeks as the 1sts, 2nds and 3rds look for league success and the 4th XI look for a strong finale to their league season which currently sees them in 4th position.
One of the most important and testing climaxes of recent seasons is in the hands of all Sodbury cricketers and a good turnout at training right through to the end of the season is crucial. So we're all hoping to see you at the club 6.15pm on Thursday.
Luck deserts Reynolds duo
Last night saw the Reynolds brothers devastated as both of their bats broke as they blasted Sodbury's fastest bowlers around the net. DJ has been cursed over recent years with his bat selection which hasn't seen one last a full season for a good long while. Recent news suggests that Mark's break could be fixed at the hands of wordworker dad, Clive. A family friend has said "the pair are looking quite forlorn as they try to come to terms with their loss."
The brothers have asked that any donations should go to the Reynolds Bat Benevolent Fund.
