Here are the rules for Sunday's Six-a-side tournament to give you a bit more of an idea of what happens during the day.
GENERAL RULES:
- Please can you bring 2 used balls as entrance fee.
- Please can you register at least 30 mins before your first game.
- General Laws of Cricket to apply.
- Group winners decided on points, 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw.
- In the event of a tie on points the group will be decided by:
- Total runs scored off the bat.
- Wickets Taken.
- Bowl-Off if all are equal.
- Every player must have played at least one game prior to the semis.
- Maximum 8 players per squad.
- Final decision by rules committee.
BOWLING LAWS:
- 1 over maximum per person per game.
- All balls down leg-side will be called a wide.
- Wides will be worth 2 runs.
- No-Balls will be worth 4 runs.
- There will be no free hits.
BATTING LAWS:
- Batting side will receive 5 overs per game.
- Last man to bat on until out or overs completed.
- There will be no free hits.
- 4 = 4 runs.
- 6 = 6 runs.
All Final Decisions are made by the rules committee.
