Bristol and District Senior Division leaders Bedminster enjoyed a four-wicket win at Bishopston thanks largely to James Carter. Bedminster then reached 93 for the loss of six wickets, James Connell top-scoring with 30.
The winning captain, Tony Connell, said: "James Carter was our match-winner and he has been one of our star performers this season.
"He now has 52 wickets this summer and is out in front in the running for our bowler of the year award."
Chipping Sodbury, who started the day in second place, kept the pressure on Bedminster with a five-wicket victory against Bristol Pakistanis.
Moon Bhatti made 50 for the losing side as they reached 143-8. Jamie Wakefield claimed figures of 3-27 while Ricky Wood returned 3-31 for Sodbury, who then reached 144 for the loss of five wickets.
