Chipping Sodbury 2nd XI v Cleeve 2nd XI
Sodbury retained their Bristol and District 2nd XI Senior Division title with a 105 run hammering of Cleeve with the day undoubtedly belonging to Ian Hobbs. After scoring his first league fifty three weeks ago, the powerful batsmen continued his fine form with a timely maiden century as he finished on 102 not out as Sodbury amassed 213 for 7 batting first.
Cleeve were shot out for just 107 with Jerry Penfold 2 for 22 and Hugh Sprackman 2 for 23 the main wicket takers as Sodbury cruised home leaving skipper Mike Pearson to lead the celebrations as he took the final wicket.
Yet again another great season for Chipping Sodbury's second XI as they continue to show great form and promise at the top of the Bristol and District 2nd XI Senior Division.
