A night to remember!

Last Tuesday, 29th June 2004, Chipping Sodbury's U15s pulled off a convincing win with Craig Dyer stealing the show. Craig put in a performance to remember against Patchway in their Under-15 Section A 38-run victory. Dyer blasted 58 not out with the bat before taking 3-8, including a hat-trick, to set up the home triumph.

Team performance sees U11s beat Bohemians

On Friday (2nd July), Sodbury's U11s won their first game of the season as Under 9 Sam Makepeace guided Chipping Sodbury to an 18-run win over Bohemians in Section A with an innings of 25 not out. Having opened the batting Sam had to follow the U11 league rules and retire on 25 for the second time in the last 2 matches. Sam is now hoping to carry his recent form on which has seen him not out in his last 3 innings.

A very good display of bowling by Aiden Prior was the highlight of Sodbury's bowling.

Sodbury's U13s bring up first league win

Last night (Monday 5th July) Sodbury's U13s went to Coalpit Heath to play their U13 A side. Sodbury batted first with Lewis Dyer (Craig's brother) and James Davis opening the batting. Lewis continued the family form with 44 not out from 46 balls ably supported by Davis who was out LBW for 33 from 60 balls. Dyer's batting was impressive, using his feet to the spinners, driving well through the covers and a display of controlled pulling against some lethal beamers.

A huge total!

With a massive total of 156 on the board, Sodbury gave a bowl to 10 of their players. Coalpit Heath managed just over 100 as their 9 players struggled to get near to Sodbury's total. Highlight of the innings was newcomer Bradley Arkwright who bowled very tidily.
