Swine Flue In Chipping Sodbury As First League Matches Get Underway

Chipping Sodbury Cricket Club in Bristol is 150 Years Old this year!


You may have heard the news that a 42-year-old man from Chipping Sodbury has become the first person in England to catch swine flu without having visited Mexico.

Tests confirmed that Barry Greatorex, from Chipping Sodbury, had caught the virus. He is now being quarantined at his home with his wife and son.

The news comes as Chipping Sodbury Cricket Club prepare for the start of their league season with 5 teams playing on this sunny day.

The 2nd XI will be taking swine flu to Claverham, who may be worried if the Sodbury team turn up in face masks. The 2s will be hoping to avenge their defeat at the end of last season.
