Some Things You Need To Do Before The Start Of The 2005 Season

It's Not long now!!
It may or may not surprise you that our first game is only days away. We only have the one weekend left until our first game on Sat. April 16th. That means that our Chairman of Cricket Rob Wakefield needs your availability (Senior players aged 17+) for all games in April. A big effort at CSCC!
The fact that we only have one weekend to go before the season also means that we need as many hands to help out at the club as possible. So please turn up to the club this weekend (9th/10th April from 10.30am). We do seriously need help because there is quite a bit of work to do in a short space of time. On the list is: erecting mobile net cage, erecting netting on fixed outdoor nets, work on the hedge, cleaning, painting and erecting sight screens, erecting netting in front of pavilion and more!
Sight screens from Portishead Cricket Club
Jeff Long also needs helping hands to meet at the club at 8.30am on Saturday morning (9th April) and go with him down to Portishead Cricket Club to retrieve 2 sight screens for CSCC. Please could those interested in lending a hand call him on 01454 315601. This is crucial.
Women's Cricket Team
I'm sure you've heard some odd words about the club's aim to form a Women's XI. Although it's short notice, the next step is taking place on Tuesday evening (5th April) at 7.30pm in the Beaufort Hunt Pub in Chipping Sodbury High Street. Anyone who is interested in lending an opinion or assisting the formation of a CSCC women's team is particularly welcome. Among those attending will be Andy Shield, Jeff Long and Mark Reynolds.
