Chipping Sodbury 3rd XI Stay Top Of Division One 2nd XI League
Article Date: 17th June 2008
Chipping Sodbury CC's 3rd XI have had a very good season up to now and although they lost to Chew Magna at the weekend they still lie top of the Bristol & District 2nd Division One, ahead of Failand and Portbury against who they recorded a great win last week.
Sodbury were unfortunate as we were defending 240 and had Chew Magna 100 for 6, but they finished 243 for 6!
Looking at the season as a whole and what's gone before, it really is a great feat for the 3rd XI to have made consistant progress over recent years under Deano. Hopefully they will continue the fine form that they seem to be showing with the chance of promotion to the Senior Division 2nd XI league as frequented for many years by our 2nd XI.
This Saturday the 3rds are away to St Mary Redcliffe 2nd XI as they look for another win.
