It was a very healthy sight to see last night (Tuesday) as Chipping Sodbury Cricket Club prepared for the season ahead.
The 2006 season is here and everything is looking pretty good!
One of the sunniest evenings for a while saw loads of activity at CSCC. The under 13s had their first outdoor training session under the watchful eye of Level 2 coach Mark Graham, the other parent/coaches and Jamie Wakefield.
Jeff Long was doing his normal above and beyond work as he did some maintenance to the nets. Jamie Rendell, brother Martyn, Lee Walters and Ian Hobbs made a great effort to erect the mobile net (almost there!) - amongst other things.
Dave Reynolds was having a meeting inside the pavilion with Gloucestershire Cricket Board's Cricket Development Manager.
And finally Mark Graham, Mark Reynolds, all the U13 parent coaches and Jamie Wakefield had a meeting about the busy season ahead which sees CSCC have two under 13 squads for the first time ever.
A typical spring evening at CSCC - building up to a season which looks to be one of the busiest in the club's history. The CSCC Ridings will certainly have more use than it ever has had before!!
