Message from Sally Donaldson, Bristol Youth Cricket League
"It has come to my attention that some people are not taking the position of umpire seriously. I have had cases reported to me of umpires smoking at the wicket and also answering or texting on their mobile phones.
"The position of umpire is most important during a match and is also an example for young players. Please will you impress upon your umpires that the League expects the position of umpire to be taken seriously."
