Voting Commences In 2004 Player's Player Of The Year Award

Article Date: 26th August 2004

Chipping Sodbury Cricket Club in Bristol is 150 Years Old this year!

Get your pens out...

In 2003 it was Steve Clapp. In 2004... [in a geordie accent] ...who wins? You decide. [stop geordie accent]

It's now nearing the end of the season and it's time to have a think about who you believe should lift the Players' Player of the Year Award. The award, as ever, will be presented at this year's Dinner Dance up at Chipping Sodbury Golf Club.

How do I vote?

Well I'll tell ya fella. This Saturday (28th August) and up until the Annual General Meeting on Thursday 16th September, you have the chance to vote. There is a box in the pavilion and by that box are slips of paper expertly produced by Clive Reynolds.

Your name should be written on one of these pieces of paper. You will then have to indicate on this piece of paper who, in your opinion, has contributed most on the field of play during the 2004 season and is therefore your Player of the Year. You then pop your slip into the voting box.

Oh yeah, the player has to play for Chipping Sodbury. Flintoff will not do.

And there you have it, it's that easy! Well filling in the form is easy, thinking about the winner may be a bit more difficult.

May the best cricketer win!
