Rise To The Challenge And Walk A Mile For Sport Relief

Where? Start from the Ridings Sports Ground in Chipping Sodbury
As Chipping Sodbury Town Trust wishes to officially open the Big Lottery Peoples Millions funded Milestones training ground, completed for the use of our community, the Towns Trust are arranging to link this with the “Rise to the Challenge” Walk a Mile for Sport Relief.
Following the opening ceremony at 11 am walkers can complete their mile on the all weather multi user path on The Ridings, completed in 2008 with funding from Natural England, South Gloucestershire Council and the Town Trust.
Members of the Ridings Sports Association, covering cricket, golf, tennis, soccer and rugby, all at senior and junior levels, have agreed to support this event, as have the Hogweed Trotters running club.
The event is being held on Saturday 20th March between 11am and 2pm starting from the training ground adjacent to the Wickwar Road car park.
