Article Date: 12th June 2005

Chipping Sodbury Cricket Club in Bristol is 150 Years Old this year!

History was made yesterday at Rosehill School in the 4th XI fixture with Y.M.C.A, when Sodbury batsman Tom Febry stroked the ball through the covers to complete his maiden half century, at 13 years and 11 months he became the youngest player in the history of the club to achieve a league fifty.

Tom Febry's mature innings of 51 provided the backbone for for a 4 wicket home victory over the visitors. Coupled with opener Chris Young's well struck 43 saw Sodbury reach the target of 135 in only 25 overs.
